Section 4: The Cost
This genocide not only hurts the innocent people, but also the economy. If enough people die, there will be less people working to help the economy. “More than one hundred people continue to die each day; five thousand die every month” (United Human Rights Council). This just goes to show how unbalanced their economy is going to be because of the genocide going on.
Also, what surprises me the most is the fact that rape is being used as a form of genocide. “In Darfur, many rape victims survive, but they suffer grievous harm to their bodies, minds and ethnic identities that can lead to a genocidal result” (Los Angelus Times). This quote, made by the Los Angelus Times, just proves my point of how barbaric the Muslims are being towards others.
