Section 2: The Facts
“Darfur is a region of western Sudan” (International Rescue Committee). It is also the target of an awful genocide. The genocide has been going on since 2003, and “tragically, genocide is being committed right now in the Darfur region of Sudan” (Roanoke Times).
So far, 400,000 people have died from this genocide, and more will die until someone stops the genocide. Muslims in Darfur are killing simple African farmers and women just because of their religion, and the government in Darfur still has yet to do anything about the attack, because they support these attacks. This makes the genocide an even greater mess, and innocent people are being raped and slaughtered for no reason.
